KP-ServicePartner Oy specializes in crane sales and life cycle services of cranes. They took the HSEQ® assessment carried out by Kiwa Sertifiointi Oy. Practices and policies regarding Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental sustainability and capability to produce Quality were assessed together with customers.
The assessment offered a good opportunity to get feedback on the operations and systems from the customer’s point of view. Customer orientation is at the center of KP-ServicePartner’s operations, and feedback is listened to with a sensitive ear.
Common operating methods increase transparency in the supply chain
Business director Aki Miettunen sees one of the big benefits of the HSEQ® assessment as the fact that it offers the status and a commitment of supplier’s operating practices to it’s customers and members of the HSEQ Cluster.
For example, Stora Enso’s Category Manager Lassi Svansjö says that when they buy services, they want to make sure that the suppliers are committed to following ethical guidelines and the same practices as your own personnel. “We will also see in the next audit in three years, how improvement goals and shortcomings have been carried forward,” says Svansjö.
According to Svansjö, smaller suppliers also benefit because they are evaluated only once and all information is available to the companies belonging to the cluster. “We also compare service providers with each other, prioritizing the areas that are important to us”.
Feedback guides us towards more customer-oriented operations
Results of the assessment showed KP-ServicePartner’s strong commitment to continuous improvement. In the audit report, lead auditor Arto Haikonen from Kiwa Sertifiointi Oy describes the company as very well prepared and customer-oriented. This was reflected both in everyday activities and in developing our offering to meet customer needs.
Miettunen is satisfied with the assessment results: “We achieved a score of 634/750 in the assessment, where an excellent result is more than 450 points”. According to him, the feedback given and the suggestions for further improvement are very valuable information. They support the company’s desire to develop its operations in accordance with customer needs.
Miettunen states that the assessment was a positive experience overall. It strengthens the company’s position as a reliable supplier and helps to ensure the consistency of operating methods throughout the supply chain.
