Pohjolan Voima produces electricity and heat with hydropower, thermal power and nuclear power on an at-cost basis for its customers. We focus on large scale energy production. Our owners are our customers, Finnish export sector companies, energy companies and cities – in total 23.
The share of Pohjolan Voima’s electricity generation of the total electricity production in Finland is just under 20 per cent. Nearly 95 per cent of that amount is carbon-neutral. Pohjolan Voima has 21 power plants across Finland. The turnover of Pohjolan Voima was in 2019 422 million euros and the number of employees was 89.
